Cork Braced For Paddy’s Day Massacre

ccwCeltic Championship Wrestling returns on March 17th as the promotion gets ready to tear down St Vincent’s GAA Club with their Paddy’s Day Massacre pay per view.

CCW head back to Cork City following the success of their “Showdown in Bishopstown” and “Hostile Halloween” shows which endeared the new promotion to the public.

Things promise to get bigger and better on Paddy’s Day when two of Ireland’s finest superstars battle for the first time in Irish wrestling.

Bonesaw is set take on Vic Viper in a highly anticipated match. Both men will be eager to get the victory having lost on their last CCW outing at Hostile Halloween.

Viper has been known to use devious methods to get his way and with Kasey Owens set to be in his corner again Bonesaw can consider this something of a handicap match. The fans have taken to Northern powerhouse Bonesaw since he debuted and will be hoping he can overcome the defeat he suffered at the hands of J.C Williams on his last outing.

Bonesaw’s brute force makes him a threat to any superstar on the CCW roster but will he find himself undone by the conniving ways of The Snakeman or will The Northern Ireland Superstar have Viper sussed?

Elsewhere on the card Kazza Glennon steps into the CCW ring for the first time as she gets set to slug it out with Kasey Owens.

Kazza originally debuted in CCW as an interviewer but quickly became fed up with the antics of Viper’s associate Owens.

Owens’ efforts to help Viper overcome his recent clash with Dunkan Disorderly at Hostile Halloween failed as Dunkan emerged victorious. As Viper and Dunkan battled after the match, Kazza emerged from the back and attacked Owens.

Speaking of why she targeted Owens, Kazza said

“I went after Kasey because I was at the very first show (Showdown in Bishopstown) and saw how she helped Vic Viper cheat his way around the ring, and I knew that at Hostile Halloween, the same would be in store for Dunkan Disorderly. This time I decided I wasn’t going to stand by and watch it happen so I went after her”.

Dublin native Kazza knows what she must do to overcome her opponent and has her sights firmly set on victory.

“You can expect to see me take Kasey out of her comfort zone, in the ring one on one, in a fair fight where it won’t be as easy for her to try anything sly

“My words of warning are simple, I know how she likes to play, but I’ll be watching her every move so she’s gonna have a tough time cheating herself a victory from me!”.

More matches are set to be announced over the coming days for CCW’s first show of 2013.

Stay tuned to see if Irish News Review columnists Bingo Ballance and Danny “The Pain” Deans make their returns to CCW.
