Rabo Direct Pro 12

Ulster v Cardiff Blues

Ulster come in to this game with the return of Ruan Pienaar to their line up which could prove crucial to their hopes of victory. Cardiff will pose a big threat to Ulster’s hopes to climb the leaderboard in the league.

The Welsh side will be hoping to come home from Ravenhill with a strong victory, following their Heineken Cup heroics against Toulon. Ulster have the potential to score tries and with players like Tommy Bowe and Andrew Trimble on their side this will be a game worth watching. Cardiff will be looking to the likes of Sam Warburton and Leigh Halfpenny to bring the victory. Home advantage will play a crucial influence in this game and you would have to think Ulster have more try scoring potential on their side.

Verdict: Ulster

Glasgow Warriors v Munster

Munster have been showing a lot of promise lately with victory over Gloucester last weekend in the Heineken Cup. They face a different task this weekend as they take on league leaders Glasgow away from home. They will be hoping Ian Keatley can recreate his recent good performances by turning in another good display for the province. Glasgow Warriors still have plenty of try scoring ability with the likes of Sean Lamont and the flying Scotsman Stuart Hogg. It will be hard for Munster to claim victory over the Scottish side this time however with this really looking like the Warriors time for some silver.

Verdict : Glasgow Warriors

Leinster v Connacht

Leinster need to be aware of the fact that Connacht are gradually improving and pose a serious threat to any hopes they have of a victory. Connacht were mesmerizing last weekend with Dan Parks on fire from the boot and their new dynamic type of play has seen some rewards. Leinster need to stand up and take notice. However they just have too much physical power through the likes of Sean O’Brien and Kevin McLaughlin. This game could rest in the balance of the fly half’s with Dan Parks vastly more experienced than his Leinster counterpart should Ian Madigan start. Leinster have more try scoring ability though and should they dominate territory it should see them through.

Verdict : Leinster, but expect Connacht to give them a fright
