Shamrock Rovers Unveil Major Sponsors And New Kit


Shamrock Rovers have announced two significant deals today with kit manufacturer Warrior and Pepper Asset Servicing who come on board as the club’s main sponsor. 

The hHops will become the first Irish side to wear the Warrior brand as the club has signed a four-year deal with the kit manufacturer who also supply Liverpool and Sevilla with their kits.

The Tallaght club have also unveiled the new Warrior home and away kits for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.

The partnership is the first link-up between an Irish team and the iconic Michigan based brand, which is one of the leading manufacturers of high performance sports kit and equipment.

Shamrock Rovers chairman and commercial director, Jonathan Roche explained that the deal is an exciting move for the football club and sees the Hoops remain to the forefront of sealing progressive partnerships with top companies.

Roche said: “We are delighted to be the first team to wear Warrior in Ireland and are very excited about the brand and its products. With the brand’s growing portfolio and ambitious mindset, we feel our values as a football club are well aligned with Warrior.”

Head of Warrior’s Irish distributor, Jonathan Courtenay believes the new Shamrock Rovers kits will have a lasting impact on players and fans.

Courtenay said: “While the new Shamrock Rovers home kit design has strong traditional roots, both kits are fresh, bold and mark a new chapter for the club. With high performance as the top priority, our team has developed designs that will not only look great on the pitch and in the stands, but enable players to perform at their best too.”

Shamrock Rovers’ position as Ireland’s most successful club influenced the design of the first Irish kits made by Warrior. The iconic green and white hooped design in the home shirt incorporates knitted stretch striped tape inserts to the sleeves and neckline, which is cut for comfort and freedom of movement.

The gold and black colour scheme on the away shirt is a first for the club and pays homage to the record number of league and cup titles collected over the club’s 112 year history.

To ensure the highest level of performance, both kits have been designed using Warrior’s revolutionary apparel system, War-Tech. Highly breathable and moisture wicking, War-Tech fabric has been used to build the main body of the shirt which features Four-way stretch mesh panels for ventilation, comfort and ease of movement.

Elsewhere, Pepper Asset Servicing (Pepper) have officially become the new main sponsor of Shamrock Rovers after the Hoops sealed a three-year deal with the global services company.

Under the new agreement, Pepper will provide significant financial support to Shamrock Rovers and the company’s logo will appear as lead sponsor on the club’s new home and away jerseys as designed by Warrior.

The partnership is the first three-year deal secured by Shamrock Rovers with previous main sponsors signing on for one or two years at a time.

And the level of the financial input from Pepper will be a huge boost for the club as it plans for the next three seasons.

Pepper come on board following a successful period as a secondary sponsor of the club last season.

Shamrock Rovers chairman and commercial director, Roche said: This partnership clearly strengthens our position as one of the biggest and most recognisable clubs in Irish football and the tenure of the deal demonstrates Pepper’s commitment not only to Shamrock Rovers, but to Ireland overall.”

Pepper Ireland CEO, Paul Doddrell explained that the company values the Hoops’ vibrancy and ambition. He said: “Shamrock Rovers is a young, ambitious and vibrant club – values which we can strongly associate with – so our initial sponsorship proved a very important part of our brand building programme in what marked our first year of operation in Ireland. As we look to the future and realising our longer term ambitions, we feel it is important to cement the Pepper brand in the marketplace through prominent partnerships such as this one with Shamrock Rovers.”

In addition to the baseline sponsorship agreement, performance related incentives will allow the club to earn significant financial top-ups from Pepper for on-pitch success.

As well as featuring on the front of the new Hoops’ kits, Pepper will also take pride of place on signage at Tallaght Stadium and on all other official club material.
