Munster Senior Football Championship

Limerick v Tipperary

The premier county come into this game following an impressive league campaign which saw them win the Division 4 title. Tipp will be confident of overcoming a Limeric side who showed some decent league form this year but they haven’t hit the height of the last decade where they caused some problems for big teams in the Munster championship. Tipperary’s underage successes in the last few years may be coming into play in this game as both sides are well capable of winning this game, home advantage will be a massive advantage for the treaty county but the premier county’s mix of youth and experience should see them overcome their rivals.

Verdict: Tipperary

Ulster Senior Football Championship

Antrim v Fermanagh

Fermanagh visit Antrim this weekend in a game that looks set to depict the story of the Ulster championship so far. Recent games have shown a massive increase of defensive dominance, with teams opting for sharp counter-attacks coming out of the backline. This game will be no different to those that have come before it in recent weeks but it will certainly be a good open game of football. Fermanagh have been more consistent than the saffron’s in the Ulster championship and should have enough firepower and all round ability to secure victory over Antrim.

Verdict: Fermanagh
