Gardai Investigate Dublin Hit And Run Which Killed 87 Year Old Man


Gardaí at the Bridewell are investigating a hit and run which caused the death of an 87 year old man in Dublin.

The incident occurred at Hanlons Corner, North Circular Rd, Dublin 7 at approximately 4.13pm on Tuesday 30th September.

The deceased was knocked out of his electric wheelchair by a white truck, believed to be a Mercedes, at Hanlon’s Corner, North Circular Road. He was taken to the Mater Hospital but died on Friday 3rd October. 

The driver of the truck fled the scene and as of yet Gardaí have been unable to track him down.

Investigating officers are anxious to speak to this driver or to any other person who can provide information or who witnessed the collision.
