Crowdsight Partners With Dublin Marathon To Capture Fan Experience

SSE Airtricity are employing a unique approach at this year’s Dublin Marathon to facilitate fans engaging, enjoying, and sharing the overall marathon experience. They’ve tasked an innovative Irish start-up; Crowdsight, to capture the proudest fan moments throughout the entire Marathon experience.

Tapping into the massive effort of the competitors and recognising the huge amount of training and sacrifice that’s involved in completing a Marathon, SSE Airtricity and Dublin Marathon organisers were keen to identify a way to really capture the variety of the experience across the record-breaking number of 14,500 runners.

Utilising Crowdsight technology linked directly from a ‘Rewards’ tab in the hugely successful SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon app (almost 10,000 downloads at present!), fans can take part in a completely unique Photo of the Day contest contributing their best photos directly from the event and along the marathon route!

The theme of the Photo of the Day contest will be to share ‘Your Proudest Moments’ so expect eager family members to be lined up to capture their loved ones and friends as they run past! In the age of the selfie, you can be sure to see a few of the more vanity-driven runners posting photos of themselves as well!

The winning entries will be selected by SSE Airtricity with a main prize of 6 months of home electricity (worth €800) going to the winner. Additional runner-up prizes include:

  • 2 tickets to Ireland -V- England football match, June 2015, Aviva Stadium
  • 6 x €100 vouchers for running shoes from Amphibian King
  • Exclusive SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon running jackets

So, what’s your proudest moment from the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon? Share it live in the build up to the event from Saturday 25th October at:
