NFL Playoffs: Wild-card Round

The regular season has now ended, and the twelve teams for the playoffs have been settled. While Denver, New England, Seattle and Carolina get a week to rest up, the other eight have to go straight into battle this weekend for the right to play one of them. Here, we examine the fixtures taking place this Saturday and Sunday, and try to predict (in a decidedly unscientific manner) who is likely to emerge, and who will be going home after a one-and-done showing. Wexford Steal Late Draw Against The Dubs

duDublin rolled into Wexford Park last night looking for a morale-boosting win against Wexford. The Dubs have suffered a tough twelve-month spell, and really needed a win and a good performance against the Yellow Bellies, who have turned into a second-tier team in recent years. In two weeks time, the British and Irish Lions will have come through their second fixture of this year’s tour in Suncorp stadium, where they played the Queensland Reds today. CCW blows the roof off with St. Paddy’s Day Massacre

Celtic Championship Wrestling returned to Cork with a bang on Sunday night. To kick off the show, we were introduced to the new CCW Commissioner, Luke Barry. Barry was quick to declare that he was here to “bring CCW to the next level.” He then revealed the first CCW Champion will be crowned, via an eight-man tournament, at Revolution on May 5th. Lone Wolf then came out and interrupted the new Commissioner, stating his case for being entered in the tournament. This led to the creation of the night’s main event, where Lone Wolf would have to fight Big Bad Hynesie in a street fight, which he had to win to get into the tournament.
