?????????At the end of May I posted an article on Irish News Review about Luis Suarez plotting his exit from Liverpool, but who knew that ten weeks later the Uruguayan would still be in the middle of one of the longest transfer sagas to date.

At the time of writing the previous piece I was already resigned to losing Suarez as were a lot of other Liverpool fans. Suarez Plots Liverpool Exit

SuarezFinger3Every time you watched Liverpool this season, you would often hear fans chanting his name, saying they can’t get enough of their prolific striker.

Well it seems now that Luis Suarez has had enough, if not of Liverpool, then of life in England which is enough for him to seek a move abroad. As a die-hard Liverpool fan, I will be personally devastated if Suarez does go because at times this season, particularly in the earlier parts, he absolutely carried Brendan Rodgers side through the league.

Charity Match Aims To Raise Much Needed Funding For Pieta House

The second annual ‘young guns’ vs ‘oldies charity football game in aid of Pieta House takes place this Saturday June 1st (2pm) in the Coldcut Club in Clondalkin.

The event is being organised by Robbie Garvey of the young guns and Noel Tallon of the oldies and hopes to better the €2,000 raised last year for the suicide prevention charity.
Last year’s tie was a breathtaking encounter which saw the old guard come out victorious in a 4-3 thriller at the Clondalkin venue. Continue reading
