12 Year Old Kills Teacher Before Turning Gun On Himself

A 12 year old student armed with a handgun shot and killed a teacher and injured two classmates before taking his own life at his middle school in Nevada.

The incident happened shortly before classes began this morning at Sparks Middle School.

Both of the injured students were rushed to a nearby hospital where one underwent emergency surgery. Continue reading

FBI Shut Down Drugs And Hitman Hiring Website

The FBI has shut down an online black market used to buy drugs and hire hitmen, arresting the mastermind in the process.

29 year old Ross William Ulbricht is accused of “controlling and overseeing all aspects” of hidden website Silk Road, as well as plotting to kill another person who was trying to extort money from him.

Ulbricht, known as Dread Pirate Roberts on the site, is also charged with drug trafficking, computer hacking and money laundering arising from his enterprise which he established to “abolish the use of coercion and aggression against mankind.” Continue reading

Amnesty Calls For Independent Inquiry Into Omagh Bombing

Amnesty International today joined bereaved families in calling for an independent public inquiry to be established into the circumstances leading to the Omagh bomb and the investigative failures that followed.

On 15 August 1998, 29 people were killed – including a woman who was pregnant with twins – and over 200 people injured when a car bomb exploded in Omagh, County Tyrone. The Real IRA subsequently claimed responsibility. Amnesty International believes that an inquiry is needed in order to investigate comprehensively the circumstances surrounding the Omagh bomb and to ensure lessons are learnt.   Continue reading

105 Children Freed From American Prostitution Ring

FBIDuring the past 72 hours, the FBI; its local, state, and federal law enforcement partners; and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) conducted Operation Cross Country VII, a three-day enforcement action to address commercial child sex trafficking throughout the United States. The operation included enforcement actions in 76 cities across 47 FBI divisions nationwide and led to the recovery of 105 children who were being victimized through prostitution. Man Accused Of Airplane Threat May Have Tsarnaev Links

A Boston man accused of threatening to blow up an airplane allegedly had all the materials needed to build a pressure-cooker bomb before this kind of weapon was used in the Boston Marathon attack in April.

Boston Bomber’s Friend Shot Dead By FBI

todoA man who was interviewed over his connection with the Boston Marathon bombing suspects has been shot dead.

The incident occurred when a team of FBI agents swarmed an apartment complex near Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

The man, named as Ibragim Todashev, had been interviewed over his connection to the Tsarnaev brothers who unleashed a vile reign of terror over the Massachusetts city last month. Continue reading
