Injury Fears For Hibs’ Irish Striker Cody Mulhall

Hibs’ Republic of Ireland Under 19 striker Cody Mulhall was rushed to hospital after landing awkwardly during Tuesday’s under 20s victory over Dundee United in Arbroath.

Mulhall who has been in sparkling form this season received immediate treatment from senior physio Kitty Mackinnon after the incident, and whilst an x-ray on his leg showed no fracture, he is scheduled to undergo a scan today to ascertain whether or not he has sustained ligament damage. Pat Fenlon is waiting to hear whether his plans for a settled back four have been disrupted yet again after right back Tim Clancy’s hopes of a first team come back suffered  another set-back on Saturday when  he was forced to leave the field after only 33 minutes against Duns in Saturday’s East of Scotland League fixture at the club’s training ground at East Mains. It’s been a busy summer period for Pat Fenlon, with an incredible 26 players leaving or arriving at the club.

Of last year’s squad, fans’ favourite Leigh Griffiths returned to parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers where he has since signed a contract extension after making an impressive start to the season, whilst striking partner Eoin Doyle has joined Chesterfield. Continue reading

Hibs Lose 1-0 To Hearts In First Edinburgh Derby Of The Season

A late Callum Paterson header gave a young Hearts team a vital three points in the Edinburgh derby today, piling the pressure onto Hibs boss Pat Fenlon.

Hibs Start Pre-Season Tour With Win Over Gibraltar

New signing Fraser Mullen started his Hibs’ career in style last night, scoring the opener in the club’s pre-season friendly win against a Gibraltar XI on the 4G surface at the Victoria Stadium.

Pat Fenlon selected a young side containing five teenagers; Mullen, Jordan Forster, Sam Stanton, Ross Caldwell and Danny Handling, whilst Sean Murdoch made a rare appearance in goal. Seven of the starting line-up graduated through the youth academy as did four of the substitutes. Continue reading
