Simple Fixes From EA Boost Sims 4 Experience

sims

The Sims 4 is the latest instalment to the much loved virtual family experience, a unique set of games that arrive feature-light before being bumped up with downloadable content which normally comes at a charge but some mixed feedback from gamers has shifted the paradigm slightly.

Evidently some content remains missing but will follow very soon, with pets, furniture and better clothing options all set to become available in the near future. There are only eight career choices though they allow you to specialise in one of two ways once you achieve a certain rank in your chosen profession.

Onto the changes in the series. Create-a-Style, which felt like the correct way to approach interior design in The Sims, is gone. The lack of swimming pools is evidently noticeable although plans are afoot to change that while newborns go from toddler to adolescent in next to no time, feels like a sign of the times.  Continue reading

FIFA 15: Attack Is The Best Form Of Defence

fifa1

Football’s most authentic video game experience is back and better than before as EA Sports have revamped the gameplay of FIFA 15.
EA’s annual title boasts numerous new additions than those enjoyed by its successor but fans will have to look into the smaller details to see how exactly things have improved.

FIFA 15 is the most realistic football game ever made. Players now have more than 600 emotions, losing the rigidness of yesteryear and now realistically interacting with teammates. Even audiences will be more realistic with new cheers based on live match atmosphere captured during the past season.

This title is the first of the franchise where EA have got to grips with the PS4 and Xbox One, resulting in a mass of changes to the graphics and animation engines, which are also reflected in the older consoles like PS3 and Xbox 360. Some are merely cosmetic and some almost unnoticeable, but many impact upon the gameplay. Continue reading

NHL 15 has finally hit shelves, ending another wait for hockey fans but while many will have been anticipating a new game with various different elements they will be left reeling as EA have stripped the game right down.

If you only want to play NHL 15 in season mode, you’re in luck. If you want more of the modes associated with last year’s title then you may wish to avoid this game despite it being labelled as leading a new generation of hockey video games.

The game is as realistic as possible combining all the usual elements along with enhanced graphics and gameplay, offering the most authentic representation of ice hockey ever visible in video game format. Continue reading

Game Review: FIFA World Cup 2014

worldcup (easports)

EA Sports World Cup franchise is back after a four year absence as the party moves onto Brazil with enhanced features, befitting of a samba style party.

The modern FIFA games and the World Cup have long co-existed, with the latter serving as a taster ahead of the new club based game since its inception during World Cup 1998. EA Sports has always managed to capture the sense of occasion of a big event and they follow that up here in true World Cup style, akin to that of the three games that came before this title. Though there are tweaks to FIFA’s core mechanics, it’s the presentation that makes 2014 FIFA World Cup a souvenir piece worth bringing home, making it a stand out game among other souvenir games of our generation such as those titles associated with the Olympics or the Champions League. Review : Football Manager 2014

Football Manager 2014

Let me start this off by saying, Football Manager 2014 is a must buy. Here’s why.

Last year’s edition, Football Manager 2013, let me a little flat. Miles Jacobson, developer of FM, brought in a load of new roles where you set player roles and dictate how they play. That made the game a little harder – but more realistic.  I like this year’s edition, the brand new look to the ‘Tactics’ board, the meetings with the Board of Management and of course – the interview before you even get the job.

I first received the game two weeks ago and was straight away addicted. They have wonderfully added in new features to the game and it’s all been  contributed to a great success. Continue reading
