Hibs Drop Into Playoff Position After Kilmarnock Defeat

Hibs’ season continues for another two weeks after falling into the playoff position following yesterday’s 1-0 home defeat to Kilmarnock in front of a large crowd at Easter Road.

Terry Butcher made four changes from the side that lost narrowly to Ross County on Tuesday with Michael Nelson, James Collins, Duncan Watmore and Paul Heffernan replacing Alex Harris, Lewis Stevenson, Danny Handling and Jason Cummings in the starting XI. Continue reading

Hibs End Year With Emphatic 3-0 Win Over Kilmarnock

Hibs ended the year in style with an emphatic 3-0 win over on-form Kilmarnock at Easter Road this afternoon.

Before the game, both sets of players were joined by the U20 squad for a minute’s silence in tribute to David Paul which was impeccably observed by both sets of supporters. The Paul family watched from the director’s box alongside Hibs owner Sir Tom Farmer. Continue reading

Dubliner Paul Heffernan has seen enough of his fellow strikers on the training ground to convince him that he will have to fight for his place in a goal-shy Hibs team that has only scored three goals in six competitive games, all of which were scored by midfielders..
