Bradley And Gartland Linked With Rovers Return

Stephen Bradley is close to signing for Shamrock Rovers according to a source within the club.

The same source also revealed the club are targeting the signature of Graham Gartland.

Gartland found himself relegated with Shelbourne last season while Bradley had a good season with Limerick as they finished mid-table.

Shamrock Rovers have confirmed the release of nine players from the club after their contracts finished at the end of the 2013 season.

Luke Byrne completed his move to Shamrock Rovers on Wednesday evening after a wonderful season with Bohemians attracted a high number of offers.

The rivalry between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers is no stranger to fans of the League of Ireland. We all know of the hatred. However, this didn’t faze Byrne ahead of his move across the Liffey. “I didn’t think twice about it.”

Gartland Discusses Charity Efforts Ahead Of PFAI Calendar Launch

The Professional Footballers Association Of Ireland (PFAI) will launch their 2014 Spot The Ballers calendar tomorrow.

The calendar which is funded by Ford is one of many charity efforts taking place to help Drogheda United striker Gary O’Neill, who was diagnosed with testicular cancer last month.

The calendar will be available from various retail outlets including HMV, select clubs and the PFAI themselves. Calendars will also be available to buy at the Aviva stadium on Sunday as Gary’s current team Drogheda United battle Sligo Rovers in the FAI Ford Cup final. Continue reading
