Better Call Saul S01E07 – “Bingo”

It can’t be said that BCS has stuttered with this week’s seventh episode but it is more than accurate to say that this was the quiet beginnings of the path to Saul. Jimmy was so close, ready to move out of the salon and into a swanky office of his own, which he was hoping wouldn’t hurt his chances with Kim too of course. This is likely the last time we will see Jimmy get this close to real, legit success and it was handled in a surprisingly tragic manner. With Jimmy’s quiet moment in the final scene of the episode we saw a similar “lowest ebb” from him as we did from Mike last week. With both characters reaching their lowest, may we get nothing but climbs from now on? Climbs that find them both settle comfortably in the middle tier of course.

Is The Walking Dead Actually A Good Show?

Reblogged from I’m Talkin’ Here

SPOILERS BELOW!
Remember Lost? Good. Now, remember why you watched it? Was it because week on week it was engrossing and high octane? No, it was because it presented more questions than answers, and we all watched religiously trying to get to the end of the puzzle. I was a devout follower for two seasons, then I quit. It just wasn’t good. I returned and binged to the finale only out of sheer morbid curiosity. AMC Renews The Walking Dead For A Fifth Season

walkingdead

AMC has announced that it has renewed The Walking Dead for a fifth season. The number one show on television among adults 18-49, The Walking Dead returned for a fourth season earlier this month and the premiere episode set a new record for the series, delivering 20.2 million viewers, live+3, and 13.2 million adults 18-49, a new record for any non-sports cable telecast.

“We are very happy to make what has to be one of the most anti-climactic renewal announcements ever: The Walking Dead is renewed for a fifth season,” said Charlie Collier, AMC president. “This is a show that has erased traditional distinctions between cable and broadcast. Its expanding base of passionate fans has grown every season, most recently — and most notably — with the season four premiere earlier this month, which broke viewership records for the series and became the biggest non-sports telecast in cable history. On behalf of the incredible team on both sides of the camera, thank you to the fans and here’s to more Dead.” Continue reading

The Walking Dead: Season 3 Review

image

So the little show that could, The Walking Dead, has now reached the end of its third season. Hard to believe really as it should have never found the audience it did given that it’s a cable TV show based on an indie comic and zombies were not yet back to being flavour of the month, but the figures don’t lie and with it breaking viewer records year on year and seeping into all popular media from memes to video games, t-shirts and it’s own panel discussion show. It is a series however that has infuriated fans at times as it drags at a horrific pace at times and takes extreme liberties with some favourite characters from the comics. So how was season 3? As usual, SPOILERS BELOW!
