Cummings’ Hat Trick Not Enough To Secure Hibs’ Victory

A Jason Cummings’ hat trick was not enough to secure a victory against Falkirk at Easter Road this afternoon as the Bairns came back from 3-1 down at half time to grab a share of the points.

Alan Stubbs made three changes to the starting XI that drew with Hearts last Saturday. Dominique Malonga who is away on international duty was replaced by Martin Boyle whilst David Gray who is out through injury was replaced by Callum Booth who took over the right-back role. Dylan McGeouch replaced Danny Handling in midfield. Continue reading

Head Coach Alan Stubbs was able to select an experienced side compare to last week thanks to the return of injured duo Mark Oxley and Scott Robertson as well as the new Conga internationalist Malonga.

There was little indication of the goal fest to come in the first quarter which, although Hibs dominated, they were unable to pierce the ‘Sons defence.

The breakthrough eventually arrived in the 22nd minute after some great interplay which ended with Scott Allan firing home from just inside the box. Continue reading

Head Coach Alan Stubbs made no changes to the team who received a standing ovation from the Hibs’ fans despite losing on penalties to high flying Dundee United in the League Cup quarter finals last week.

Dylan McGeough who missed that game due to a suspension did not make the squad due to an injury whilst midweek hat trick hero Jake Sinclair made the bench. Continue reading
