Hibs Finish Season In Bottom Six After Dismal Day In Perth

Hibs’ hopes of a top six finish vanished yesterday with a two goal defeat to St Johnstone in Perth.

As promised, manager Terry Butcher made several changes to his starting line up following last weekend’s defeat against Partick Thistle.

Danny Haynes opened his Hibs’ goal-scoring account today to secure a share of the points against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in a game that the Easter Road side dominated throughout.

Bradley And Gartland Linked With Rovers Return

Stephen Bradley is close to signing for Shamrock Rovers according to a source within the club.

The same source also revealed the club are targeting the signature of Graham Gartland.

Gartland found himself relegated with Shelbourne last season while Bradley had a good season with Limerick as they finished mid-table.

A Celtic hero turned pilot at Norway’s top airline is backing his former club to claim the scalp of Barcelona for a second successive season when they face the Catalan giants in a Champions League clash at Parkhead on Tuesday night.

Harald Brattbakk scored a crucial goal in May 1998 against St Johnstone to help Celtic deny fierce rivals Rangers from winning their tenth league title in a row and to bring the title back to the east end of Glasgow.

While his Celtic career may not have lived up to his expectations he remains revered in Glasgow for that one goal. Since hanging up his boots the former Norwegian international has taken up a career in the airline industry and is now a top pilot with Norwegian Air Shuttle. Continue reading
