It seemed just that bit too unbelievable that it had to be a prank. Not from a green tinted Irish point of view, nor a sentimental aspect wishing he get the chance to finish out his Lions career in a fitting fashion. No the simply unbelievable side to the news that Brian O’Driscoll has been dropped is that it is now a reality, that a Lions tour that started out with such promise for the visitors now slugs towards the final test with a coach so desperate and nerve wracked that he can only see fit to play, essentially, a Welsh team he is familiar with and a few stragglers from other nationalities.
