Hibs’ Pre-season Continues With Comfortable 4-0 Win Against Berwick Rangers

Goals from new signing David Gray, Liam Craig, Tom Gardiner and Lewis Allan secured a comfortable 4-0  victory for Alan Stubbs’ Hibs against Berwick Rangers in front of a noisy travelling support at Shielfield Park earlier today.

Scott Robertson returned to the starting line-up after recovering from injury and trialist Luke Coulson who had just been released from Cardiff City took his place on the bench. Continue reading

Keano Praises Injured Hibs’ Youngster Cody Mulhall

Hibs’ youngster Cody Mulhall received an unexpected boost yesterday when newly appointed Republic of Ireland Assistant Manager Roy Keane took time out from his busy schedule to telephone the seventeen year old striker and wish him well as he recovers from ligament damage sustained after landing awkwardly during an under 20s win over Dundee United in Arbroath last month.

The Irish born striker from Athy, Co Kildare who has been in sparkling form this season received immediate treatment from senior physio Kitty MacKinnon after the incident, but the club later confirmed that he was likely to be out for several months.

Injury Fears For Hibs’ Irish Striker Cody Mulhall

Hibs’ Republic of Ireland Under 19 striker Cody Mulhall was rushed to hospital after landing awkwardly during Tuesday’s under 20s victory over Dundee United in Arbroath.

Mulhall who has been in sparkling form this season received immediate treatment from senior physio Kitty Mackinnon after the incident, and whilst an x-ray on his leg showed no fracture, he is scheduled to undergo a scan today to ascertain whether or not he has sustained ligament damage. Reasons For Liam O’Brien’s Departure From Hibs Revealed

Liam O’Brien left Hibs for family reasons, the club announced yesterday, quashing rumours and speculation amongst supporters following his departure in the summer.

Following  the recent  meeting between Chairman Rod Petrie and a number of invited representatives from various supporters groups, an issue was raised regarding the changes in back-room staff at the club, and in  response, a statement was published on the official website highlighting the changes that have taken place. Irish Youngsters Making Big Impression With Hibs

Last year several of the Hibs’ Under 20 squad progressed to the first team, including the highly thought of Alex Harris, Danny Handling, Ross Caldwell and Jordon Forster, whilst others such as Sam Stanton, Dean Horribine and Bradley Donaldson were regularly on the fringes.

Many Hibs supporters who follow the progress of the youngsters however believe that the current group have even more potential than their counterparts from last season. Continue reading
